Mattie Jane Hill

April 6, 1941 ~ May 10, 2024

Mattie Jane Hill, aged 83, peacefully transitioned at her residence on Friday, May 10, 2024. Born on April 6, 1941, in Hampton, GA, she was the daughter of the late Mattie White and Jessie Roberts. Preceding her in death are her siblings, Frank Roberts and Walter Roberts. She is survived by her beloved husband, Alton S. Hill, whom she married on March 23, 1981, in College Park, GA and her three sisters Virginia Roberts, Noble Roberts and Connie Roberts. Throughout her life's journey, Mattie was blessed with five children: Patricia A. Person, Reginald Roberts, Lucinda Roberts, Tommy Roberts, and Eddie Gay. She also had many grandchildren, great-grands, nieces, nephews, and cousins. “God Got Me!” “God been good to me!” Mattie never complained about her issues. She was an independent soul who was now depending on others. Mattie loved to entertain family and friends; playing the piano and creating unique arts and crafts. After hearing her breathe 30 minutes before God commanded her spirit to leave her body, I was able to say I Love You! It hurts but her divine purpose was never meant to live in that body on a temporary earth! With that, my hope is for everyone reading this to understand that “your true identity is in eternity, and your homeland is Heaven.” So what are you doing right now to prepare for eternity? It’s not too late to store up heavenly treasures and live divinely for Christ! Family, friends and others whose lives Mattie touched are invited to: Southern Cremation & Funerals640 McGarity RoadMcDonough, Ga 30252 On Saturday May 25, 2024 from 1-4pm to Celebrate the Life of: Mattie Jane Hill.
