On June 9, 2024, Glynnel Lawson, 77 of Union City, GA departed this life. Please express your condolences here on our website. Services entrusted to Southern Cremations & Funerals at Holly Hill.
Glynnel Lawson, was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who loved Family including all of her nieces and nephews, stepchildren, friends’ children, sisters and brother-In-Laws’ cousins, Pastors, elders, church family members and coworkers deeply. She was a retired Board-Certified Nurse and since Covid-19 became a Certified Traveling Nurse. She silently served in the community locally in Union City and Fulton County. She was Asst. Mgr. to the Elections Board by assisting voters at the voting sites. She had the wonderful experience of applying her nursing skills and love for all globally, while traveling to Africa with Resurrection House for All Nations Ministry to aid others medically in Nigeria and Lagos. She was committed to philanthropy with St. Jude’s Children’s hospital as her favorite charitable cause. She had a heart for people who struggled with mental illnesses, physical challenges and people who were often misunderstood.
She forgave easily saying “God is love” & “I have to forgive others because the Lord forgave me”.

Sending love and light to the memory of Mrs. G and everyone touched by this amazing woman. She was so full of life. Thankful for every moment.
❤
My deepest sympathy to the family of Glynnel. I am grateful to have met her as an election poll Worker and from there we bonded as friends. We spent many times attending line dancing classes and talking about life. She will be missed.

A jack of all trades. I love that you could do any and everything you wanted.
I truly thank GOD for the friendship, the sisterhood, and the love of this woman. Words can not express the difference she made in my life. My prayers and love go out to the family. Rest in love my sweet sister. Love Monica Mcghee.
Rest in peace, love and light.
Wow! first Uncle Don, now Aunt Gynell…
Life is so precious and we waste so much time and energy not focusing on the needful thing; the unconditional love from family in spite of our differences.
The word of God states, to be absent in the body is to be present with The Lord & how precious in the sight of The Lord is the death of His Saints.
Selah…
I pray that we all find comfort in God word and in our fond memories of Gynell & Don in our hour of bereavement. Amen 🙏🏾

A Beautiful and Loving Soul. You have Earned your Wings. You can Rest now.
Full of life, light, and love. She adored family, water, and people in general. She was like another mother to me and taught all of my children to swim. Her joy and spirit will forever be cherished. 💕💕💕
Rest in peace Queen
Glynnel, you are in my thoughts, you will truly be missed my cousin. Love and remembrance ,
To my dearest friend Glynnel,
A truly great friend is hard to find. Difficult to leave and impossible to replace.
You are irreplaceable. You are one of those people who made my life better just by being in it.
Few people possess the unselfish, loving heart that you had – and even fewer are willing to give so much of themselves.
You have left this earth to be with the Good Lord. But you will ALWAYS be in our hearts. Rest in Peace my sister Glynnel until we meet again.
Love you always,
Georgia Marshall and Family
Irreplaceable, next to the Lord Jesus my everything.

My deepest condolences to the family of Glynnel. Praying for God to give them strength and peace during this difficult time. I have known Glynnel for 18 years as her neighbor. We have participated in line dance and salsa classes together. I admired her so much as she walked up and down the hill and streets daily when she wasn’t working. We shared suggestions and ideas about things to put in our yard. She will truly be missed. May she continue to Rest Peacefully. ❤️🙏🏻🌹🌹🌹. Glenda Flowers
