Bobby Clay Gober, husband, father, PawPaw, brother, and Uncle, age 63, passed peacefully on Thursday, August 9, 2018, in his home in Dallas, Georgia.
Bobby is survived by his wife of 30 years, Peggy [Phillips] Gober; his children Amanda Molina, Christina (Joey) Ford, Bobby Gober Jr, Alvin Gober, Shane Gober, Haley Fricks, and Shelby Fricks; his grandchildren Gabriela, Brooklynn, Samuel, Adam, Scarlet, Hadessa, Valorie, Peggy Jane, and Payton; his brothers Albert (Patsy) Gober, Louie Gober, Terry (Sherry) Gober, Gary (Linda) Gober, Allan Gober, and Jack (Wanda) Gober; as well as his many nieces, nephews, and long-time friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Betty [Henry] Gober, his father, J.W. Gober, his brother Bill Gober, and his sisters-in-law, Joyce (Allan) Gober and Patsy (Louie) Gober.
Bobby was born on October 20, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia, to parents J.W. and Elizabeth “Betty” Gober. He married Peggy on April 1, 1988 and they have resided in Dallas for 27 years. Bobby worked as a truck driver for most of his life. He enjoyed collecting and restoring antique cars, riding motorcycles, fishing, and spending his Saturday nights listening to classic country music while sitting on his front porch. His wife and children will remember him as a fiercely protective man loyal to his family. His grandchildren will remember him as their PawPaw who loved them best. And all will remember him as the man who could make you laugh until you cried.
A visitation for family and friends is scheduled for Monday, August 13, 2018 from 12:00 pm until 2:00 pm with a service immediately to follow in the Columbarium at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill located at 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064. Pastor Troy Hall will officiate. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Bobby’s life.








Bobby was one of my dads best friends therefor he has been a big part of my life for as long as i can remember. There is one thing that truly sticks out is he always had a way of making me laugh. Hell he is the reason i got my CDL licence to begin with. I will miss him forever and his memory will never fade from my mind. Bobby if you can read this Inlove you man. Thanks for all that you did when mom passed and be the a friend a friend would love to have…..oh you and dad better have me a hotrod ready when i get there
Bobby, you were no doubt the greatest man I’ve ever known. The mold was definitely broken when they made you. I’ll miss you dearly, You’ve been such a huge part of my life for so long. You taught me so much. I miss you all the time, and I’ll always love you. A
