Randy Barber passed away on July 30, 2024, at the age of 57, with family by his side, after a courageous battle with lung cancer.
Born on October 31, 1966, in Marietta, Georgia to Murray and Dean Barber, Randy was a family man with an incredible work ethic. Starting at a young age, he learned and lived by the value of a hard day's work. From growing up with his three brothers, to raising a big family of his own, Randy has lived every day devoted to his loved ones.
There are two things in life that Randy valued above all else: his family and making others happy. Everyone who had the pleasure of meeting Randy will tell you that he always went the extra mile to make someone smile. Always down for a good time, Randy loved traveling, cooking, music, and watching the Braves or Bulldogs play. But above all else, he loved spending time with his wife and his family.
Randy is survived by his mother, Dean Barber, his loving wife of 13 years, Maggie, his children, Brittany (Chad) Kastner, Cortney (Chris) Mitchell, Josh (Rachel) Barber, Isabel Dean, and grandchildren, Adalynn and Caroline Kastner, Asher and Savannah Mitchell, and Eleanor Barber.
Visitation is Monday, August 5th from 10:00 am to 11 am with the service immediately following at First Baptist Powder Springs. In lieu of flowers, please donate to https://www.tobaccofreekids.org/get-involved/ways-to-give.

Sweetest man! Everyone will miss you ! Rest in piece! Love you good !
Randy was a good friend and a genuinely good person. When you were speaking with him you knew you had his whole attention and that you were the most important thing to him in the moment. I always appreciated that about Randy and when I think of him I will always smile remembering his quick wit and authentic laugh. We’ll miss you here my friend, but we know you are waiting for us in a better place.
Randy Barber was one of a kind. He could be the toughest man working with contractors to make every deadline but had the biggest heart a man could have. He loved Maggie, his kids and grandkids more than you could ever imagine. He would light up every time he spoke of his family. I was honored to get to work with Randy for about 18 years and learned so much from him. He was always so patient as a teacher of his knowledge of Real Estate. I will miss you Randy but know you are in heaven watching over all of us. Until we meet again my friend.
Barber Family, I am sorry for your loss. Randy was great man and enjoyed our conversations. Certainly, one of my favorites. Fran Davanzo

I went to church and school with Randy. He was always such a kind, thoughtful young man. Highlight of the week was running into him on Saturdays at the A&P. Hugs and prayers to his family. I’m very sorry for the deep pain you’re going through.
