Mrs. Vera Rogers-Hill Lemons passed away peacefully at 5:30 PM on August 6, 2024, in Rockmart, Georgia at the age of 89 years old. She was born on September 28, 1934.
Vera was a true Georgia "Peach". She enjoyed cooking (especially baking), planting flower gardens, feeding the birds, and helping others. Everyone that knew her described her as being a kind person, a loyal friend, and had the sweetest smile. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt.
Vera was preceded in death by her father Joseph Boone Rogers, mother Laura Maybelle Hendrix Rogers, husband Robert Earl Hill, daughter Kimberly Ann Hill, and 8 sisters and 3 brothers. She is survived by her loving husband of 34 years, Ules Lemons; son, Michael (Chris) Hill; daughters Donna (Junior) George and Peggy (Michael) Rutledge; 14 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews. She will be greatly missed and fondly remembered.
A visitation will be held on August 13, 2024, at 11:00 at Southern Cremations and Funerals, 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, GA 30064, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00.

I worked with Vera at New Georgia Store and loved her dearly we lost touch with each other a few years ago and I have been trying to find out where she was. She really loved her family so sorry to hear of her passing but she is home now.sending prayers 🙏🙏🙏
