It is with great joy that we celebrate the life of Rhonda Joy Gonzalez Villafane, born on July 27, 1966, to her parents Ruth and Ralph Gonzalez in the Bronx, New York. She completed her basic education in New York and finished her post-secondary education at Temple University in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After returning to New York, Rhonda later re-married Manuel Villafane Jr and relocated to Marietta, Georgia. As they settled into their life, the Villafane’s expanded their family with the birth of Quentin and Aniya Villafane. Rhonda joined the Wellstar Hospital Group at entry level upon her move to Georgia and just celebrated 30 years in the role of Senior Billing Analyst. Rhonda’s life was defined by her love for her family, her unwavering faith, and her passion for sports and interactive board and card games. She was a fan of foreign television shows, especially Brit TV and enjoyed going out to dinner, her favorite was Mexican food. You could catch Rhonda solving murder mysteries or knowing the answers to various trivia topics, she was an avid history buff. Rhonda’s spirit lives on in the lives she touched. 14. I just found out of Rhonda’s passing & I mourn her Loss…My heart is sad & I am Praying for all those who love Rhonda. I worked in another Dept. @ Wellstar & never met Rhonda as we both worked remotely; however we worked on Patient Accounts together via email and an occasional phone call. She was always so pleasant & kind & I always looked forward to our communication as You felt better after speaking with Rhonda. She was always joyous & I did not realize until I read her obituary that her Name was so fitting Rhonda “Joy”! I wanted to write this Memory so her Family & Friends would know that she greatly impacted those who never even met Rhonda except thru emails & phone calls…She made a positive impact on me and always brightened my Work Day with her light !…I will miss Rhonda !…Kim
