Christa Alwiene Harden

Christa Alwiene Harden, age 85, passed away peacefully on Friday, December 20, 2024 after suffering from Alzheimer's Disease and a right leg fracture which received in-home hospice care. Christa was born on September 23, 1939 to the late Karl and Anna Wiegelmann in Heidelberg, Germany. She worked at a printing company as a teenager and then met her husband-to-be, Jerrall C. Harden, and married him in 1957. She moved to the Atlanta, Georgia area with her husband and first child toward the end of 1958 and lived in the Atlanta area ever since. Christa worked with her husband's business for well over 30 years. She loved children, cooking, gardening, traveling, and photography. She also loved to collect dolls, china, and Christmas ornaments. In addition to her father and mother, Christa was predeceased by two sisters, Irmgard and Anneliese, along with three brothers, Kurt, Ernst, and Heinz, all of whom were born in Heidelberg, Germany. Christa is survived by her husband Jerrall, and her three sons, Don, Thomas, and David. She is also survived by daughter-in-law Wanda Harden, grandchildren Robert and Jeff Harden, grandchildren Trina and Steven Harden, great-grandchildren Taylor Jade, Sutton, Brayden, and Carsen, step-grandchildren Vickie and John, along with several cousins, nieces, and nephews in Germany and England.
