Carla Foster, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, and friend, passed away peacefully on January 31, 2025, at the age of 58. Born on July 18, 1966, in St. Elizabeth, Jamaica, Carla’s life was a vibrant tapestry woven with love, family, and unwavering strength.
Carla’s heart overflowed with love for her family. She was a devoted wife to Michael Foster, sharing with him a bond that was a source of comfort and joy. She was the cherished mother of Terone, Alana, Rowell, and Rayan Peart, nurturing them with boundless affection and guiding them with wisdom and grace. She also embraced and loved her stepchildren as her own. Her role as a grandmother brought her immense happiness, and she adored her four grandchildren with all her heart. Carla was also a loving mother-in-law to her two daughters-in-law and son-in-law, welcoming them into the family with open arms.
Carla was the loving daughter of Gloria Stephens and Gerald Beckford. She was also deeply grateful for the love and care provided by her stepmother, Adlyn Beckford, who stepped into her life when she was just two years old. She leaves behind a large and loving family, including fifteen siblings – nine sisters and six brothers – and a multitude of nieces, nephews, grandnieces, grandnephews, and cousins, all of whom will miss her dearly. Her large family was a testament to the love she fostered and the connections she cherished.
Carla's warmth and kindness touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a remarkable ability to make others feel seen and valued. Her generous spirit and infectious laughter will be fondly remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her. She leaves a legacy of love, strength, and devotion that will continue to inspire her family and friends for generations to come.
While her physical presence will be deeply missed, the memories of Carla’s love and laughter will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her. Her spirit will forever be a beacon of light, guiding and comforting those she leaves behind.
A celebration of Carla’s life will be held Sunday, February 23, 2025, at 12:00 PM at Southern Cremations & Funerals at 640 McGarity Rd., McDonough, GA 30252. Visitation will be held prior to service at 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM. Following service will be the interment at Eastlawn Memorial Park.
