Bryan Campbell

March 7, 1979 ~ February 21, 2025

Born in Florida and raised in Georgia, Bryan Campbell, 45, of Marietta, Georgia, was the quintessential Southern (perhaps not-so-gentle)man: hard-working, family-oriented and respectful to everyone – unless someone crossed one of his loved ones, then he became a papa bear. Throughout life, he held faith in Jesus Christ and never wavered. He once said, “You earn your wings one feather at a time” after pushing his much-younger, slightly traumatized brother-in-law to help a group of gardeners at a red light whose trailer popped open. If you look up “family man” in the dictionary, you’ll see a photo of Bryan. Despite a full schedule of work, house projects and kids’ school activities, he supported his wife Patricia’s journey as a competitive triathlete. While that meant fun trips around the world to places like Abu Dhabi and Spain, it also meant packing and hauling equipment, helping with uniform changes, dashing from lakes to roads to bike tracks and being a one-man snack and hydration station. It also meant lots of loud encouragement, which may or may not have included phrases that would make people blush in pretty much any country. When it came to his kids, nothing mattered more. While some may have seen a tough love exterior, those closest to him knew he was actually a giant softie. He supported his son Christian’s musical theater and guitar passions, ensuring he had the best equipment and plenty of time and room to practice. He could also be spotted playing in the pool with his daughter Ally or carpooling her late in the evening from swim practices, and on any of her cheer events. In fact, everyone could hear him when his kids were playing or performing – he was one of the proudest (and loudest) dads out there. While he spent his days fixing HVAC, plumbing and electrical problems for his clients, building things and troubleshooting issues were also part of Bryan’s DNA. He spent many evenings and weekends working on his own property. His family wanted chickens? He got chickens and built a coop for them. Said chickens were being attacked by hawks, raccoons and foxes in the middle of the night? He (literally) wrestled the predators away/sprayed them with the hose/yelled until they left, then built a veritable fowl fortress. His family wanted basement offices and a workout room? Done. With a half bath thrown in to boot? Yes, please. Updated kitchen? Built. You get the idea. Bryan’s hospitality was legendary among friends – it didn’t matter when you showed up or how long you stayed, Bryan would make sure you had breakfast, snacks, lunch, more snacks, dinner, drinks, dessert…and more snacks. A last-minute trip to the butcher or grocery store was never a bother, and food always miraculously appeared even when you weren’t looking for it. And he treated every kid and dog like his own. That might mean they went home later with a much more colorful vocabulary than they arrived with, but Bryan made up for it by being everyone’s favorite storyteller. A husband, father, son, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, Bryan passed away Friday, February 21, 2025, after an accident. In addition to his wife Patricia Campbell and kids Christian and Allison Campbell, Bryan is dearly missed by countless people, including his mother Judith Campbell; brother John Campbell and wife Dara Campbell, and their kids Cooper and Caroline; brother-in-law Luis Rodriguez, his wife Luisa Davila, and their kids Andrew and Juliana Rodriguez; niece-in-law Valeria Rodriguez; brother-in-law Ronald Silvino Martinez Azuaje; mother-in-law Olkida Azuaje; and countless aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He is also pre-deceased by his father, Robert Walter Campbell, and their beloved dog, Kennedy Campbell.

  13. Cristina Mandry-Campbell says:

Judy gave me an old canon film camera where I found a mystery roll of film. I developed it and got back these photos of Bryan when he was young. What a treasure it was to see my cousin as a teenager on Christmas! May he always be remembered fondly by family and friends.

  14. I remember coming out to visit on several occasions when the family was living in Canton many years ago and we cousins were all just kids. It seemed like Bryan was never to be seen when we got there so we’d all just start chatting. Rusty (John), would be where we were. Then, all of a sudden, Bryan would come out of nowhere like a sneaky ninja and ambush John. They would end up falling to the floor in some kind of crazy wrestling/fighting match which scared me because I had never seen anything like it! Some years later, my own sons are tripping each other, flipping on the ground wrestling and all I could think about was Bryan the Ninja and John down on the floor fighting. Had it not been for them, I would’ve never known this was normal behavior. It’s always been sweet memories for me to laugh at. Far from his ninja days, Bryan became a sweet, thoughtful and caring man. He was a very giving teddy bear, gone from this life way too soon.
    Much love,
    Michelle

  22. The last time we saw Bryan was February 18, 2025. It was not until February 30 we learned of his death. My family and I are in shock and cannot accept a world without Bryan. He was always so happy to see us and expressed a genuine concern about how we were doing. We had known Bryan for almost 20 years. There was NO ONE more helpful, honest, experienced, and empathetic than he was. Whenever we enter the garage, basement, laundry room, etc., we see his work. It is so hard to accept we will not see him again. We are absolutely devastated. I suppose there will come a time when we see his work and learn to accept his absence with fond memories. But for now, that appears hopeless. He was such a profound presence in our lives, and the memories and fondness are so cherished, it seems impossible to accept his absence. I know these feelings are immeasurable to Patricia and the kids, and we wish them all the healing there is to offer. As I gathered the strength to express this today, I still cannot accept reality. My family and I wish everyone that Bryan made an impact on a recovery at their own pace that will allow them to move forward with their lives.

  23. We will miss you deeply our friend. We have not come to grips with your loss, but hopefully your memories will help us move forward as time allows.

  24. With loving memories of “Bryan Campbell”,

  25. Sending love always xoxo

  26. I just learned of Bryan’s passing. He was the friendliest and most honest person I’ve met. He remembered things I’d told him between service visits and genuinely cared about his work and the satisfaction of his clients.

I guess heaven needed him to fix something. That’s the only way this makes sense.

I hope his family is doing well and coping, I cannot imagine how big a gap they have in their lives. I’m very sorry for their loss.

The many projects he completed for me are now a memorial. He will be missed.

  27. I am writing to share with my family that I am thinking of everyone and I miss Bryan. I still hurt for Patricia, the kids, and my lovely Aunt Judy. Patricia, please know you have a cousin in me, and I am in Saint Louis MO should you ever want to visit. My mother Carolyn bought the clickers Bryan used to use for gratitude and positivity tracking. I used one to count my sobriety time. This week I have six months. I outgrew the clicker, but Bryan’s memory and influence is forever with me. John, I am sorry you have to put up with such senseless deaths. I am still proud of us and our family. Blessings to you and yours. Forgive my multiple shoutouts, I deactivated my Facebook. Bryan, you are forever in our hearts. It is so obvious you were a bright and shining person. I used to stare at your one earring back in the 90’s, when boy bands were popular, and you looked like you could be in a boy band! Rest in peace, sweet cousin!
