Rita Lane, 57, of Kennesaw GA., Passed away on 11/28/2018 in Kennesaw GA. A memorial service will be held Saturday, December 1st, 2018 at 11:00 am. At Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church in the fellowship hall by Pastor Steve Smith. 5633 Dorsett Shoals Rd, Douglasville, GA 30135. The family asks that all guest park in the rear of the church and dress casual for the service. Rita Lane has asked that donations be made to the Douglas County Animal Shelter in lieu of flowers. Rita Lane was born in Greenville South Carolina on 5/17/1961. Rita was the third child of Roy and Ruby Franklin. She graduated from Lithia Springs High School in 1979. Where she was an all A student and graduated early. She went on to attend some classes at Kennesaw State University. Rita was a licensed insurance agent. As well as spent many years working with her family at RnR moving. Rita Lane is preceded in death by Roy Lee Franklin (Father), Dustin Tyler Blair (Son) and Robbert Danny Martin (Step-Father). Rita Lane is survived by Norman Scott (Domestic Partner), Raymond Franklin (Brother), Randall Franklin (Brother), Rhonda Montcalm (Sister), Russell Franklin (Brother), Ruby Martin (Mother) and many nieces and nephews. The family of Rita Lane would like to extend our sincere thanks to Wellstar Hospice, Dorsett Shoals Baptist Church, and the many friends who have offered help, thoughts, and prayers in this difficult time

I heard you first breath and cry, I held your hand for your last, You was a beautiful baby, a wonderful child, a very smart student, a loving daughter, so talented , Recite long poems and stories at age 5 ,count and knew your a b c’s , knew the books of the bible in early years of vacation bible school. you were all ways honest, thought of others first, gave of your time to help with anything anytime, do anything you could to help anyone, Loved your family and friends, Loved Animals, Loved your son with all your heart and soul , I can not tell you how much I love you and miss you, I know you are with Dustin , Danny & many of our family that has gone on before you, I will see you with Jesus when my time here is through.
