Judy Minnis Sexton-Cowart

Judy Minnis Sexton-Cowart, born to James and Anna Minnis on November 10, 1941, passed peacefully at home on April 2, 2025, surrounded by loved ones. She was 83 years old.Judy was a devoted wife, loving mother, and cherished grandmother, known for her warmth, kindness, and generosity of spirit. Her faith was central to her life, and she was an active member of St. John's Episcopal Church in College Park, Georgia, where she found great joy in fellowship and worship.An accomplished writer, Judy’s passion for storytelling led her to become an author, sharing her thoughts and experiences with the world. She was full of life and enjoyed many adventures, particularly her love for travel, which took her to many places near and far. Her curiosity and enthusiasm for life were infectious to those who knew her.She was preceded in death by her parents, first husband William Cowart, second husband William Sexton, and sisters Reba, Barbara, and Linda.Judy leaves behind to cherish her memory son Kirby (Rosina) Cowart and Kevin Cowart; sister Beverly Harding; grandson Gabriel Cowart; and many nieces and nephews.She will be dearly missed by her family, friends, and all who were fortunate to know her. Judy leaves behind a legacy of love, creativity, and faith that will continue to inspire.
