Worked with E B Lane at the Atlanta Police Department, great guy & fun to be around.
My sincere condolences to the Lane family.
Wow! Was truly close to big cuz as a kid. Always looked up to him. LilBro was a major factor in my decision to join the military because I wanted to be like him. My parents looked to him as a superhero. Love you cuz. May God continue to bless the family.
Our most sincere condolences and never ending are extended to the Lane family. E B, myself, and my wife all worked together at the Atlanta Police Department. He was a great friend who kept everyone’s spirits up. He was also known by the young folks in the community as Officer Eddie Murphy. You couldn’t find a better person to be called a friend. You will be sorely missed Our Friend and Brother in Blue. Farewell until we meet again.
Sincerely, David B. Boston, Sr. , Chris Boston & Family

This is very difficult for me, I’m blessed to have known E B Lane, what a comedian, compassionate and loving person. I’m grateful for all the wonderful memories in Zone 4 and the Choir Practices. ❤️✌🏽

With Sympathy and Love
Ashlee & Paul, I had the pleasure of working with your Dad at APD, in Zone 4. He was a great mentor and workmate. Always, the loudest, outspoken and funny. If he liked you, you knew it. If he didn’t like it, you knew that too! Although he’s no longer here, for now, our heavenly father promised we will see him again. In the meantime, keep him close with your memories. Reflect on his humor, his infectious laugh, and the love and time you shared. He loved you both so much! Finally, to all of your family, my deepest condolences. Please know that in transitioning, he’s resting , no longer sick and suffering. When the time comes, he will live again, per God’s promise. What a glorious time it will be for him and us all to see him again. In fact, to see all our love ones we’ve lost in death. These Bible scriptures tell us of God’s promise. I hope they can help comfort you all during your grieving. Ecc.9:5, Jh. 11:11, Jh.5:28,29, 1Corn. 15:26, Ish.26:19, Rev.21:3-4, Psl. 37:29.
My deepest sympathy, love and prayers.

LilBro Uncle Bernard Officer E.B Lane Cuz. All those names one person. From my first motorcycle ride. “You want something to eat?” The collard greens, macaroni, ribs from the oven and cornbread. “What you doing?” The Atlanta Falcons games field access GA Dome. “Didnt I tell you?” Dismissed yellow documents. “Yall still doing it?” Can’t forget the Lane Boy Annuals you attended and pushed to continue. Cuz you will be missed.
To the family,
Lean on God for strength during this most difficult time.

I had shared a memory last week but didn’t or do not see it with the other acknowledgements so there must had been an error or mistake. To Paul, Ashlee & The Entire Family Please Accept My Deepest of Sympathy, Condolences & Prayers 🙏🏾 I didn’t have the pleasure of meeting or being in the midst of Mr. Ellis Lane but my granddaughter & daughter of whom I met Paul through was & would travel from Charlotte, NC to Georgia for the Lane’s family gathering & once one of my sons had an opportunity to join them & returned saying the same things as we had heard about Mr. Lane & what an awesome time & opportunity it was to have been in the midst of Mr. Lane & the other family members & friends that was in the midst. In This Difficult Time Paul & Ashlee U Will Weep & U Should But Be Mindful of The Word of God & It’s Promise, “That Weeping May Endureth For A Night But Joy Cometh In The Morning”, Your Morning Time Will Come. With U All In Love & Prayer, Your Charlotte & Fayetteville NC Family, Elder Ethel Campbell….AKA, Paul’s Nana 🙏🏾💕
God bless you, brother Lane and for the wonderful things that you have done buddy Atlanta Police Department. We all know that it is hard being a servant, but when it comes to actually doing a job as an officer of the Law we know that it takes a certain amount of dedication. we live in a very complicated world where they are sicknesses and diseases but we know there is a place that is far beyond this place that is called heaven where there’s no pain or no cares about anything anymore. Brother Lane I looked to join you one day and we can sit down by the river and talk about how we got over. Don’t forget cover down on your strong knee and continue to pray. God bless.
Watching the Braves vs Reds game tonight and it wasn’t looking good. Bottom 9th down 1-0, 1 out runner on 1st with a struggling Michael Harris at bat with a 2-2 count and I say ok Lane, we need some angles in the ballpark; next pitch Harris doubles and runner scores from 1st to tie the game. Iglesias shuts them down top 10th and Big Bear lines a single to left field in bottom 10th to score winning run from 2nd. I guess Ol Silver Head heard me…
R.I.P. This was hurtful to see that Ellis Labe is no longer with us. May he rest in the arms of our Lord and Savior
