November 16, 1932 ~ May 17, 2025

Chan Sing Lim, age 92, from Marietta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on May 17th, 2025, at her home in Marietta, surrounded by loving family. Born November 16th, 1932, in Malaysia, Chan was the daughter of the late Lam Suong Peng and Low Soon An. She is also preceded in death by her spouse, Keng Lee and brother, Chan Fong Lam. She is survived by her brother Chook Hong Lam (Poh Choo), her sister Yin Ingram (Stan), sister-in-law Monica; her 6 children: Amy (Steve), Lai Kuen (Ban Tan), Lai Wan, Weng Lee (May Kok), Lai Mee (Seng Tan), Lai Lee (Jack); her 13 grandchildren: Rachel (Tom), Paige (Wes), Alexis (Walter), Kong Fei, Kong Yew, Lee Allen (Katie), Kelvin, Evan, Nicky, Stanley (Marena), Gerald, Ben, and Emily; and 6 great-grandchildren: Preston, Clara, Owen, Ellie, Mason, and Kaylee. Born and raised in Malaysia, Chan’s life is a testament to resilience, love, and unwavering strength. Growing up, she journeyed through many chapters in life, facing challenges head-on with courage and grace. She built a beautiful family with the love of her life, Keng Lee, raising six children with a guiding hand and grounded morals, putting others’ needs before herself. Her legacy has crossed oceans and has found its way into the hearts of many. She was a wonderful mother and cook; she never let a guest leave empty-handed and always made sure there was something warm on the dinner table. Her home was a haven of laughter, comfort, and love. She was the heart of our family – our matriarch. No birthday ever passed without her call and no milestone went unnoticed. She made each and every family member feel seen and cared for; whether we were across the table or across the world, her love knew no bounds. She carried us all in her heart. Even near her final days, she continued to put smiles on our faces, and she was never without the comforting presence of family. Her fierce love wrapped around this family like a blanket, and we will continue to feel its warmth. She leaves behind more than just memories; she leaves behind the lasting traditions and values that have shaped this family – a family that continues to grow and flourish in her wake. Visitation will be held Thursday, May 22nd, 2025, at 5:30-8 :30pm at Southern Cremations & Funerals, 1861 Dallas Highway Marietta, GA. 3. My Sister, my dear Sister Chook Toh, (her maiden name) is like a mother to me, advising with your wisdom, comforting at adversity; like a friend, making me laugh with your humour and funny stories reminiscing yours and our younger days, confiding innocent secrets.
The loss is slowly sinking in, heavy. Tears will well up. Haven’t feel like this for a long while. I will find solace remembering our time together, chatting over phone and just thinking how caring you are to all, family and friends. I can also rejoice of your very adventurous and rich life, so well described in the Obituary.
We will all miss you dearly, but we will forever have you in our hearts as a guiding inspiration to live a loving , rich and happy life.
    From your brother Ah Hong
