In Memory of Gussie Young
Her beautiful & well expressed prayer I will never forget, when I visited with her in July of 2024. She was over 101, when she was asked by her daughter, Mary Kee, to say the prayer before we ate lunch. She readily agreed. She said a prayer thanking Jehovah from her heart in a way that would capture anyone’s attention. It made me aware of the depth of her spirituality and love for her God, Jehovah. As an extended family member, I look forward to the time when I will see her again in Paradise on earth. May Jehovah comfort us all for a temporary loss, as we look forward to the resurrection soon to take place under the Kingdom rule.
With much love,
Julie Wiley
I look forward to Sis. Young’s beautiful smile. Since the first day I met her when I was 17 she has had that smile. I am definitely going to miss her and I look forward to seeing her soon in the new world to come.
What a beautiful sister, I will never forget! See you in paradise!
I’m writing this little note of Gussie Young my step mother she seemed like my real mother She was a very kind and very decent woman very respectful all and I miss her dearly. I’m down myself the whole day. I’ll see you in heaven, and we can all share happiness in Jesus.
There aren’t enough words in the world to say how much mom meant to me. Her arms were always open. I cannot imagine what it was like to put up with all my escapades throughout the years, but she did it with love and patience. I thank her for loving me and putting up with me! Her warm heart and mild personality made her easy to talk to, but she would never hold back from correcting me when I was wrong. She would always remind me that Jehovah and my children deserved my best. I remember, that even through tough times, she set a fine example of faithfulness and loyalty to Jehovah and her family. I will always cherish her example of strength and resilience. Proverbs 31:26 describes Mom, “She opens her mouth with wisdom, and the teaching of kindness is on her tongue.” I will work hard to follow her example, so that I will see her in Paradise.
My condolences to the family. Gussie Young will be truly missed. She was a faithful and kind Sister who enjoyed life. I look forward seeing her again with those walking shoes on because she loved to walk.
A joyful heart is like good medicine
What a smile Sister Young had, it always made you feel happy and warm on the inside. No doubt that joyful heart endured a long time. We are looking forward to that smile of sunshine in Paradise

I had plenty of times with this wonderful lady. My lovely Grandma.. i remember that’s doing a lot of walking as a little girl.. we walked to the Kingdom hall. We walked out of field service, walked to the park walk to the wash house.. we walked to the park to my school and etc. Those walks were looonnnggg. She did not let us stay bored in the house. We always had something to do for free.. my Grandma was loved by so many. Such a kind heart. I have so many more precious private memories of her. This lady will be truly Truly missed.

Sister Young was such a wonderful person, she was so kind and sweet. I look forward to seeing her in the new system, along with sister keys ❤️
My aunt has been the pillar of our family. As a child, she would visit her mother and always speak about the Kingdom. We would sit and listen to her stories about how Jehovah would bring paradise to us. Without her example, we might not have found the encouragement to become Jehovah’s servants.
I am very proud of the full-time work my aunt devoted to Jehovah. It brings me great joy that Jehovah’s loving kindness has drawn us to the truth. Jehovah wants all of us to experience the joy that my aunt found throughout her life. The time is now to learn about our heavenly Father. Jehovah is seeking ways to show His love for us all.
