Gary Young

August 11, 1951 ~ May 22, 2025

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Young, a beloved husband, father, and friend, who left this world on May 22, 2025, at the age of 73. Born on August 11, 1951, to Vernon and Helen Young, Gary lived a life full of love, devotion, and unwavering faith. Gary was known for his deep Christian faith, which carried him through life’s many challenges, including a courageous battle with cancer and other illnesses. His faith and strength were evident in everything he did, and his enduring spirit served as an inspiration to all who knew him. A man of many interests, Gary found joy in life’s simple pleasures—reading the Bible, cheering on the Atlanta Braves, watching football and NASCAR, collecting Matchbox cars, bird watching, and enjoying horror and sci-fi films. He had a kind heart not only for people but also for animals, having cared for many beloved dogs and cats throughout the years. Gary was a selfless and giving person. Whether donating regularly to various charities or offering quiet support to friends and family, his generosity knew no bounds. He was a hardworking man who spent over 30 years with the same company, embodying loyalty and dedication. Above all, Gary cherished his family. He was a devoted husband to Patricia Young, his wife of more than 50 years. Even on the day he became ill, he insisted on taking Patricia to her doctor’s appointment—an act that epitomizes the kind of man he was: loving, dependable, and full of grace. His love for his family was truly unconditional and formed the foundation of his life. Gary Young leaves behind a legacy of kindness, strength, and unwavering love. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives he touched. His spirit will continue to live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
