When you call, we may ask for some basic information to help us assist you quickly.
These questions may include:
- The full name of your loved one
- The location of your loved one (hospital, nursing facility, hospice, or residence)
- Your name, phone number, and contact information
- The name and contact information of the next of kin
- Whether your loved one had funeral or cremation pre-planning arrangements
After gathering this information, we will help schedule a time for you to meet with our caring staff to discuss funeral or cremation arrangements.
Information to Bring to the Arrangement Meeting
When you meet with our team, we may ask you to bring certain information and items that will help us complete the necessary documentation and plan the service.
These may include:
- Clothing for your loved one (if a viewing or service is planned)
- Your loved one’s Social Security number
- Date of birth and place of birth
- Parents’ names, including mother’s maiden name
- Education and occupation information
- Marital status
- Veteran discharge papers (if applicable)
- A recent photograph for the obituary or memorial materials
- Pre-planning paperwork (if arrangements were made in advance)
- Cemetery information (if burial arrangements are planned)
