A Celebration of Life
Theresa Elaine Campbell
April 6th, 1963 – June 30th, 2019
Theresa Elaine Campbell (Tee), was the youngest beloved daughter born to the late Mr. Willie James Campbell and Mrs. Betty Jean Campbell. She was preceded in death by both parents, and her brother Willie Jr. She leaves behind to cherish prized memories, her brothers Charles, James and Bobby Ray, along with her sister Dorothy Jean; husband Joseph, daughters Stephanie and Renesha, son-in-law James, grandchildren James and Aryanna, along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and extended family.
Born in Dothan, Alabama, she lived most of her childhood there, graduating from Northview High School. She went on to live part of her adult life with siblings and family in Boston, Massachusetts attending Bunker Hill Community College and going on to marry her Husband Joseph Cox. In 1999, she decided to live out her life of retirement from the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority in Atlanta, GA where she and her daughter Stephanie both resided.
She loved the warm weather, which is what brought her to GA. Relishing in the sunny days she attended First Baptist Church of Atlanta, often volunteering in the book store and other church functions. She never was short on conversation and often found herself chatting it up with new friends and/or neighbors constantly gaining new relationships among her peers. Those that knew Theresa, knew she was a caring, kind, loving person who would give her last and was always willing to help those in need; Whether it was giving rides to others from church or setting up fellowship outings with the sisters from church.
Theresa had a close bond to her daughter, which allowed them to grow together in new environments in the state of GA. She strived to give her the very best even when things were stacked against her, still providing strength and guidance. She wanted the best for her daughter and they shared accomplishments together, high school graduation, college graduation. Theresa’s latest cherished accomplishment to date was the title and responsibility of Nana; Being a Nana was the food to her soul, and the highlights of her day. To say missing her would be an understatement; She will forever be our light for guidance and strength.
Even Jesus surrounded himself with people who believe! Open your mind and expect God to do something for you. Therefore, I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. -Mark 11:24
