Robert Bruce Cooler

August 16, 1953 ~ September 6, 2025

Robert “Bruce” Cooler passed away peacefully at his home on September 6, 2025, at the age of 72. He was born in Augusta, GA, on August 16, 1953, to his parents, Homer and Mary Cooler. Robert is predeceased by his parents, brothers Lynn Allen Cooler, Sydney Homer Cooler, and Carl Martin Cooler. Bruce is survived by his beloved wife of 43 years, Melissa Connolly Cooler, his sons, Robert Allen Cooler, Wife Kara Powder Springs Ga, William Jonathan (Jon) Cooler, Wife Amber of Kennesaw, GA; grandchildren: Cameron Cooler and Ayden Robertson ; brother: Joseph Wallace Cooler, Wife Sylvia, Austell Ga; Brother and sister in laws, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Bruce grew up in Beaufort, SC, and moved to Austell, GA, in 1975. He worked with his brother Joe at the family-owned business, JW Cooler Co. He was a very successful traveling salesman all across the Southeast. He met his wife Melissa in 1977 and they married in 1982. Bruce retired in 2019 after 44 years. He was diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2022. The family is forever grateful for all the loving caregivers and WellStar Hospice that faithfully cared for him. His strong faith has been an inspiration to everyone. A Celebration of Bruce’s Life will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, Visitation from 12:00 PM–2:00 PM and Service form 2:00 PM - 3:00PM at First Baptist Church Mableton, GA. The service will be officiated by Rev. Doug Thompson. An Interment will follow at Southern Cremations and Funerals at Cheatham Hill 1861 Dallas Hwy Sw Marietta Ga 30064. At 3:30 PM
