Peggy Sue Cole, age 97, entered her eternal rest peacefully on October 25, 2025, at Avalon Health and Rehabilitation Center in Newnan, Georgia.
Born in New Market, Alabama, Peggy accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior at the age of 13. Her life reflected her deep faith and love for her family. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose unwavering faith guided her every step of her 97 years.
Peggy was married to Henry C. Cole for 55 years, until his departure in 2002. Together, they built a life rooted in faith and family, raising four children: daughter Brenda Cole Brady (preceded in death by her husband, Donald), son Jerry W. Cole (preceded in death; survived by his wife Brenda-Faye), son Randall L. Cole (Penny), and daughter Tracey L. Cole Davis (Marty). Preceding her were her precious parents, Robert (Bob) and Clara Jane Phillips along with her brother Doug Phillips and his wife Lillie Mae. Peggy was also blessed with numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great- grandchildren, as well as nieces, nephews, and cousins- all of whom were the joy of her heart.
A graveside service will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. at Grange Hall Cemetery in McMinnville, TN, with John McKelvey officiating. Family and friends are welcome to join in celebrating Peggy’s remarkable life and steadfast faith.
“As the Apostle Paul wrote, ‘We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord’ (2 Corinthians 5:8). And in Philippians 1:21, ‘For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain.’”
Today, Peggy is at peace—living eternally with Christ, whom she loved and served so faithfully.
