Alfonso "Al" Lewis Holsey

February 4, 1960 ~ October 27, 2025

On February 4, 1960, Alfonso Lewis Holsey was born to Henry and Elizabeth (Jordan) Holsey. Known to many as “Al,” he was educated in the Dougherty County School System and went on to graduate from Westover High School in 1979, where he built lifelong friendships and lasting memories. Al will be remembered for his warm smile, caring nature, and generous heart. He believed in working hard, helping others, and finding joy in family and friendships. His legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will forever live on in the hearts of those who were blessed to know him. Al made his peaceful transition to Heaven on Monday morning, October 27, 2025. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Willie Louise Holsey; his son, Alfonso Holsey II; his daughter, Tiara Williams; his father, Henry Holsey Jr.; and his brother, Gregory Holsey. He leaves to cherish his memory: his children — Marques Spurlin, Shameeka Wooden, Latoya Holsey, Jarael Holsey, Jenae Holsey, Hope (Brian) Gilliam, and Jeron Holsey; his loving mother, Elizabeth Holsey; his brothers, Roderick Holsey and Brandon Holsey; his cherished grandchildren — Marques, Nathan, Jamael, Justice, Jaheim, Liam, Alexandria, King, Briley, Korbyn, Ashleigh, Tavarius, Jocelyn, Na’Auji, Jada, Jalen, and Joshua; and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives, and dear friends. Al’s presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to live through the love and memories he leaves behind. Acknowledgements The family of Alfonso Lewis Holsey would like to express their heartfelt gratitude for the many prayers, words of comfort, and acts of kindness shown during this time of loss.
