Arnold Lee Brown, Sr., 86, of Canton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, November 28, 2025. He was born on January 24, 1939, in Stamford, Connecticut.
Arnold met the love of his life, Daisy Brown, in Norwalk CT, they were married in 1960. Together they raised two children and built a life anchored in family, faith, and humor. After decades in Connecticut, they retired to Canton, Georgia, in 2000. Arnold and Daisy shared 56 years of marriage until her passing in March 2016.
A dedicated and skilled manufacturing machinist, Arnold worked for General Electric, Bryant Electric, and Ruger before retiring. He carried the same steady spirit into every part of his life—showing up, working hard, and loving the people around him without hesitation.
He is survived by his children, Annette Early (John) of Canton, GA, and Arnold L. Brown, Jr. (Veronica) of Eden, NC; his brother, Lawrence Brown of Stamford, CT; grandchildren Angelique Ortiz, Angel Ortiz, and Vanessa Brown-Perkins; and three great-grandchildren—Mylia, Jasmine, and Aliyah. He is preceded in death by his sister, Norma Collins of Stamford, CT. He also leaves behind a wide circle of in-laws, nieces, nephews, extended relatives, and friends who cherished him deeply.
The family of Arnold L. Brown, Sr. extends heartfelt thanks for the kindness shown during this time of loss. We are especially grateful to Allen Temple AME and the Primers for loving and supporting our Pop after Daisy passed, and to every family member who checked in on him and made sure he was never alone. Our sincere appreciation also goes to his caregiver Miko, and to the dedicated team at Right at Home, Canton who helped carry him through his final chapter with dignity and compassion.
Pop had a village surrounding him—family, friends, and even strangers who couldn’t help but comment on how cute and adorable he was. Our answer was always the same: “You want him?” But the truth is, we wouldn’t trade him for anything. His light gave us life. His smile made us smile. His silliness rubbed off on all of us.
We will love you forever, Pop. This little light of ours… it keeps shining because of you.

I’m really going to miss him. He was my favorite uncle throughout my life. R.I.P

First let me say my condolences go out to the family. My prayers are with you all. I am so hurt by this. Mr. B as I called him was not only a client but family to me. I loved coming to see him and hearing him say what we doing today? Did you get us dunking today? He was sweet, gentle, kind and filled with life. I enjoyed our talks and outings. He was and is one of kind he will forever live in my heart. R.I.H gone but never forgotten ❤️
In loving memory of a man who was always welcoming.
Arnold was a quiet man who loved the Lord, his deceased wife, Daisy, his children and his many family members and friends. Because of his health, he was unable to attend his church, Allen Temple AME Church, in his latter years but he was faithful in continuing his financial support of God’s House. He will be missed by his loved ones and friends.
