Douglas "Doug" Lee Williams, Sr.

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Douglas Lee (Doug) Williams who departed this life on December 7, 2025. Doug was born on March 11, 1960, to the late Moses Charles Williams and Josephine Cromwell Williams. Doug was a devoted husband to his wife, with whom he shared almost 37 years of marriage. He retired from Southwire after working there for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, going to church, and talking to others about God. Some of his favorite pastimes included watching the ebb and flow of the ocean and learning new things. He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Kathy Denham Williams; his parents, Moses and Josephine Williams; his grandparents, Dewey and Pauline Williams; Robert and Nellie Mckee and his brother, Joey Williams. He leaves behind his son, Douglas (D.J.) Williams and daughter-in-law Kristen; his daughter, Stephanie Bristol and son-in-law Matt; his stepdaughter, Kristen Godfrey, and her husband Ray; Lesa Weatherford and husband Carl; and Melissa Alayli. He also leaves his sisters, Laurie Robison and Kathy Akers (with brother-in-law Dean), and his brother, Tab Williams. Also left behind are grandchildren Hunter, Chase, and Macie Bristol, Cole and Lexi Williams, Devin Debenport, Zain Armond, Christopher Godfrey, Katie Bentley, and several great-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews. In accordance with his wishes, his body will be cremated, and no services are planned at this time.
