James Alvin Hill, Sr., also known to many as Big Skip or Alvin, was born on October 4, 1943, to the late Pariese and Essie Mae Hill. He is the fourth of ten children born to this union. He entered eternal rest on December 11, 2025. James married the love of his life, Emma Diane Carter Hill, on May 13, 1973, in Marietta, GA. From this union one daughter, Tiffany, and one son, James Jr. (Little Skip) were born. He leaves to cherish his memory; Wife Emma Diane Hill; Children Tiffany (Jonathan) Reeves, James Hill, Jr; Grandchildren Shaquille (Kierra) Hill and Austynn Hill; Sisters Lorene Garrett, Ada Newsome, Emily Hill and Faye (Jesse) Bonner; Brother-in-law Arthur Wilson; Sister-in-law Vanessa Hill and a host of nieces and nephews, cousins, loved ones and friends.

    His wife Diane (Lady Di) and were co-workers.

  6. Dad, I still can’t believe that you’re gone. It was a pleasure to take care of you, during your final days on this Earth. I want to thank you for ALWAYS being there for me. You taught me so many lessons about life, and you are the reason that I am the man that I am. I’ll make sure that Austynn is well taken care in your absence, she loved you so much ❤️ Thank you for teaching me how to be a REAL truck Driver and how to do it with dignity and pride. There are so many wonderful memories I could share, but they all recycle around late night video chats with Aunt Diane and “Uncle Skip” coming into the frame, stating his displeasure with how loud we were being, and then properly take his place in the sofa behind her to aggravate us from his seat!
