He was proud to be an Air Traffic Controller and retired from the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA), with most of his time served at the Jacksonville, FL Airport.
Jeffrey loved football and his Georgia Bulldogs. He loved babies, he loved his family and friends, and he loved being their “Grumpy.” He loved music and knew the words to every song he had ever heard. He loved Angie’s family and was amazed by the love that they shared.

From feeding deer in South Carolina on family vacation, to spending hours talking Georgia Football on Saturday’s, you were the best dad. I remember being a kid, and always lounging on the couch, purposely with my toes propped up because I knew when you walked in you’d crack them for me. That was my favorite. You were also the best grumpy. You always gave the babies the best snuggles and “grumpy squeezes”. We love you so much!
I love you uncle Jeffrey and will miss our Georgia games and dinner at Mexican restaurants like last month. Always laughing. You did great work here and now your reward. 💕
What a blessing to know you, my brother in Christ. You left a hole in my heart, and yet I am at perfect peace because I know you are in the presence of our Savior. I look forward to spending eternity with Him, and with you and all our loved ones. You are greatly missed here.

I worked with Jeff for many years in Jacksonville, he was a great co-worker and friend. We will miss you brother ❤️🛫
Jeff was the best man at my wedding in addition to being a dear friend, brother in Christ, and fellow coffee drinker. At the wedding, he was having such a fun time mingling and talking with guest that he almost forgot to make a toast to my wife, Shelley, and me. We both got a good laugh out of it !
We were friends since 7th grade. Blessed to have seen him a few years ago. Such a kind, sweet, funny, smart man. Angie, I’m praying for you and your family. I love you.
Grew up in Ellenwood/Fairview with Jeff. Danny and I were honored to have sat for him and his grandkids a few years back. We were also blessed to chat with him last week as he shared his testimony. What an amazing man. Rest In Peace my friend.
Jeff and I worked together for more than 20 years. In all that time, I am not sure I ever saw him angry,
I remember a story he told me about how his daughter wanted to clean the fairing on his Goldwing because it was covered with Love Bugs. She got rid of all the bugs and was so proud to tell her dad! Unfortunately, she used an abrasive pad and destroyed the finish. He told me she was so proud of her work all he could do was smile and tell her what a good job she did.
Jeff was a good man. Rest in Peace my friend. You will be missed.
Jeffrey was my first cousin. Along with the rest of his siblings and mine, I have very fond memories growing up. I’ll miss my fun loving cousin who had a ready smile and a great sense of humor. We love you Jeff, we will miss you. Rest now in the arms of Jesus.
He was the defining definition of a father! His legacy to me will always be one of truth wisdom and humor! Through all the trials and tribulations of his life he never once allowed anyone but him to be affected by it and put out love and unconditional understanding! He protected us! I’ll always love and miss him and look back on all the moments we had together! Go Dawgs Daddio! – Michael
We were friends since high school, and always seemed to end up at the same places, and later he was so joyful and came to visit Johnny and me in 1981, shared his testimony with us and invited us to Fellowship Baptist in Griffin. Many happy memories there. Then many years later we met again at our SHS multiclass reunion, it was like we never missed a beat. Then this year when I lost my son, Jonathan, Jeffery came to his funeral. It meant the world to me. I think he was an angel unaware!
Feeling blessed to having had the chance to reconnect with Jeffery the last few years and visit when I was back in Stockbridge. We drove around ‘the bridge’, paid a visit to the old SHS building where we were chased off by security for the movie crew on duty at that time. Like old times running from trouble.:) I always enjoyed our friendship, a very memorable person in my life. Super intelligent, great wit, honest, kind, loved his family, a loyal friend. My heart goes out to Angie and family. A lovely soul has left us. Will cherish the great memories. Rest in peace dear friend.
There were so many memories that were made where a photo wasn’t taken. I took for granted that there would be plenty of moments and more photos, but now I know that there would never have been too many. I know as I go through the new memories I’ll make in your honor, you’ll be in those photos too. Miss you forever.
It was sad to hear of Jeffery’s Home going.Absolutly know He is in Heaven with Jesus and our family. Jefferyis one of the good guys.See you in Heaven! Debra Turner and Benjamin Bryan
No words would ever be enough to thank you for being my dad. Your honesty, integrity, and love of family were always apparent. You were the best dad even when it wasn’t easy. I know you’re in Heaven with all of the family that got there already. I’ll miss you every day, but I promise to keep working hard to make you proud. In the quiet moments, I still talk to you and hope you can hear me. Tavian was so blessed to have you as his Grumpy for 13 years. Until I see you again, I’ll love you forever.
