Charles "Rick" Sullivan

September 25, 1953 ~ December 25, 2025

Charles Richard Sullivan of Dallas, Georgia went to be with the Lord on December 25, 2025. He is survived by his wife of 54 years Dona, son Ryan (Ashlie) of Smyrna, GA, daughter Jennifer (Craig) of Aldie, VA, as well as his seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. He is also survived by mother, Jean, brothers Stan (Donna), Mark, Joe (Beverly) and various nieces and nephews. How do you sum up a life well lived? First and foremost, Rick was a loyal and loving family man. He was an avid hunter, who loved to spend weekends at the cabin hunting for deer, turkeys and pigs with friends and family. He was also a very talented carpenter and wood worker. No one loved a funny political cartoon or dad joke more than Rick. His quick wit, quiet, loving and calm demeanor will be missed immensely. Visitation will be held at Southern Cremations & Funerals at Cheatham Hill in Marietta, GA on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, from 10:00am to 1:00pm, with a service directly following.

  1. Dona, your love for each other was genuine. Rick was a very special friend to us. I hope this Peace Lily reminds you of Rick, year after year.

  2. Tony, Stacie, & Jack Whaley says:

    With love and hugs,

  3. I am a Sister of Rick’s Mother, Jean. When I was a teenager, I baby-sat the four boys: Stan, Mark, Rick, and Joe. They were a delight and I enjoyed being with them. Ricky was the quiet one and so loving and easy. The boys always wanted a piece of cake as soon as it was out of the Oven and still warm. I found out that it never stopped their appetite for dinner, as I was so sure it would. Later when I had four daughters, I quickly learned that “rules” for boys were very different than for girls. It was a wonderful time in the lives of the Sullivan “Clan” I loved each and every one of them. Jean and I were very close sisters, and I am so very sorry for their loss of Rick.
