Harold (Ron) Ronald Miller

Harold Ronald Miller (Ron)passed away peacefully at Wellstar Tranquility Hospice on January 6, 2026He went to be with his Lord and Saviorat the age of 86. Born in Kansas City, MO on 1/10/39He is survived by his loving wife of 66 years Sandra Kay Miller Lovingly remembered by son Michael (Penny) Miller, daughter Teri (Dempsey) Jordan, granddaughter Sabrina (Josh) Newman, grandsons DJ (Nicole) Jordan and Chad (Lauren) Jordan, great grandchildren Grace Newman, Storm Newman, Ryder Newman, and Isla Jordan Ron was born in Kansas City, MO as an only child to Harold and Louise Miller. Ron referred to his mother as his guardian angel. He was raised as a Catholic. At that time, he was the youngest Eagle Scout in America by the age of 13. He attended the University of Kansas where he received a Masters in Aerospace Engineering. He was an athlete playing football and running track. While at college, he married the love of his life Sandy Fuqua. They moved to California where he accepted a job with Douglas Aircraft. While in California, they started a family. They moved to Marietta, Georgia in 1966 where Ron took a job with Lockheed. While working, he attended night school at Georgia State for three years and earned a Masters in Business. He was also investing in the stock market which led to a career change. He then became a registered financial advisor in 1972 with Shearson Hammill. In 1974, he made the Chairman's Council a prestigious accomplishment. Ron was in the financial industry for 50 years where he earned many awards including earning twice the top performance award for Portfolio Manager at Smith Barney. Later in his career, he moved his team to Raymond James where he retired in 2021. Ron was respected and revered in the industry. Ron's hobby was also the stock market. He liked to plan and travel, cook and spend time with family. He was a very generous man.
