Obituary

Elizabeth Collins Hunter, a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother, entered eternal rest on March 30, 2026. She was born on February 22, 1938, to the late James Collins Sr. and Ada Bell Collins.

A woman of faith, Elizabeth was a longtime member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Trenton, New Jersey, where she faithfully served on the Usher Board and Nursing Board. In her later years, she continued her spiritual journey, worshiping at New Big Springs Baptist Church in Locust Grove, Georgia.

Elizabeth dedicated many years of service to the healthcare field, retiring from the Medical Center at Princeton in New Jersey after 31 years of devoted service.

She found great joy in life’s simple pleasures. Elizabeth loved shopping, decorating her home, and cooking for her family. She was especially known for her delicious homemade banana pudding, a favorite among those who knew and loved her. She also had a special fondness for purses, always carrying herself with style and grace.

She leaves to cherish her loving memory her daughter, brother, 2 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 3 great-great-grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, special friends, and extended family members who will forever hold her memory close to their hearts.

Elizabeth will be remembered for her gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the love she shared so freely with her family and community.
