Jacquelyn Renae Lightfoot

A Life Well Lived

Jacquelyn Renae Lightfoot was born on October 19, 1961 in Atlanta, GA and was raised by a host of uncles & aunts. Jacquelyn was called home to be with the Lord on June 13, 2026. She was raised in the Dixie Hill community here in Atlanta, GA.

Jacquelyn was educated in the Atlanta Public School System and graduated from Gordon High School c/o ’79. She then earned her certification in Nursing and was employed at the Sadie G. Mays Care Facility for a number of years. Later in life, Jacquelyn made a career change and pursued a career in management at Kroger and Publix here in Atlanta, GA.

Jacquelyn was a ray of sunshine to everyone she met, always with a big smile and laugh that was one of a kind.

Jacquelyn leaves to cherish in her memory, her two sons; Demarque Barnes and Marci Holmes; her daughter, Shemeka Lovelace-Battle and husband Eric Battle; two granddaughters, Tyanna Barnes and Wynter A. Moffitt; four great-grandchildren, Deonte Jemeal Meeks, Deangelo Amir Barnes, D’Marlo Messiah Williams and little Miss Autumn Amour Waters; one sister, Sharon Lightfoot-Crockett; one brother, Larry Lightfoot; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her husband, James L. Lovelace; daughter, Nakita Lovelace; also, Agnes Favors, Michelle Lightfoot, Gary Lightfoot, Alfred Lightfoot, Marvin Lightfoot Sr., Melvin Lightfoot, Lillian Lightfoot, Lizzie Lightfoot and Rochelle Lightfoot.
