Bobby Edwin Wade, 80, of Austell, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, June 23, 2026.
Bobby is lovingly remembered by his wife, Linda Louise Wade; son, Keith Edwin Wade, and
daughter-in-law, Erin Wade; daughter, Shelley Lynn Adkisson, and son-in-law, Jeff Adkisson;
and five grandchildren, Emma, Lyndsey, Alex, Ginny, and Sydney.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Connie Wade and Manciel Wade; his brothers, Clark
Wade, Alan Wade, Dell Wade, Harrell Wade, and Danny Wade; his sisters-in-law, Shirley Wade,
Nancy Wade, and Jean Aldridge; and his mother-in-law, Eunice Hayes.
Bobby served his country in Vietnam from 1965 to 1967 as a U.S. Army Specialist 4 and
member of a mortar team. During his service, he was awarded the Bronze Star and the
Republic of Vietnam Gallantry Cross for his actions during Operation Cedar Falls.
Following his honorable discharge, Bobby began a long career in software development in the
early era of computing, working with punch cards long before modern programming tools
existed. He brought leadership, precision, and intelligence to his work, and concluded his
software career in 2010 as manager of a large software team at Rhodes Furniture.
He will be remembered for his patience, generosity, and kindness. He loved gardening, fishing,
following the weather, spending time with his family, and the company of dogs, who always
seemed to find a friend in him.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, at 2:00 p.m. at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park Chapel,
1861 Dallas Hwy, Marietta, Georgia. The funeral service will follow in the chapel at 3:00 p.m.,
with entombment in the mausoleum. Flowers may be sent to the chapel.

So sorry for your loss, we loved Bobby, he will be missed by so many.
Our huge heartbreaking loss of Uncle Bobby is a real hard one to accept, and Heaven is Rejoicing and Welcoming Uncle Bobby. Bobby’s Love for Us and Ours for Him will never die. My beautiful memories will last a Lifetime.
