Rayshell Lee Taylor of Milner, Georgia, left us to be with the Lord on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, at the age of 34.
Born in Stockbridge, Georgia on March 21, 1992, she was the daughter of Scott Callihan and Stacey McGahey. She was a 2010 graduate of Faith Christian Academy in Griffin, Georgia.
She married David Jerome (Jerry) Taylor and had two beautiful girls, Addyson Lee Taylor and Aubrey Elizabeth Taylor. Over the years she enjoyed traveling, kayaking, hunting, cooking, swimming, and spending time at home together with family, plus her boxer, Ali. Her career path included Childcare Provider, Senior Office Administrator, and Residential House Cleaner. In January 2024, Rayshell was diagnosed with Guillain Barre Syndrome (GBS) which forever changed her life. No matter what she faced, she was always very proud of her girls and all of their accomplishments.
Rayshell is survived by spouse, Jerry Taylor; daughters, Addyson and Aubrey; parents, Scott Callihan and Stacey McGahey (Jeff); grandmother Jannice Callihan, brother, Randall Callihan (Stephanie), bonus brother, Kyle McGahey (Ashley), nephew, Walker McGahey, bonus parents Laura and Paul Clark; aunts, Barbara Williams, Pamela Richardson, Sherron Mahs, Elizabeth Sherriel Cook, Angie Fowler; uncles, Chris Cook, Greg Fowler; several cousins also survive.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents Doris and Ray Cook, George Randall Callihan, Kathleen Lumsden, and Peggy Jaynes.
Rayshell’s love for her family and her strength through adversity will be remembered by all who knew her. She will be deeply missed.
The family will receive friends at Deliverance Center Full Gospel Church in Griffin on Saturday, July 11, 2026, at 1PM. A celebration of life service will follow at the church at 2PM.
