Roy Newton Wooten, born on August 3, 1952, in Olton, Texas, passed away on June 5, 2026, surrounded by the love of his family.
Roy was the son of Anita Wooten and the late A.J. Wooten. He was also preceded in death by his beloved twin brother, Troy Wooten, who passed away in 2006.
Roy was a hardworking and dedicated man who spent nearly 20 years working for Doors Unlimited, where he was respected for his commitment and strong work ethic.
Roy enjoyed life’s simple pleasures, especially watching NASCAR races every Sunday during the racing season. It was one of his favorite pastimes and something he looked forward to each week.
Above all, Roy cherished his family. He is survived by his loving mother, Anita Wooten; his sisters, Brenda Wooten, Linda Murphy and her husband, Danny, and Debbie Peyton and her husband, Brian; his brothers, Gene Wooten and his wife, Donna, and Gary Wooten and his wife, Missy; as well as several beloved nieces and nephews who will miss him dearly.
Roy will be remembered for his quiet strength, his dedication to his work, his love of NASCAR, and the love he shared with those closest to him. His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends.
The family appreciates the love, prayers, and support shown during this difficult time.
