If you are unable to attend the morning remembrance gathering, you are welcome to stop by anytime between 11am and 4pm.
A member of the Southern team will be available to assist with placement in the Gardens of Butterflies, allowing you to honor your loved one at a time that works best for you.
When You Are Ready, There Is a Place for Them
For some families, keeping a loved one’s urn at home provides comfort following a loss. For others, it was simply the decision that felt right at the time. Months or even years later, you may feel differently but still be unsure what to do next.
A Place Among the Butterflies offers a meaningful next step. In recognition of National Cremation Placement Day, families are invited to give someone they love a permanent place of remembrance within our Gardens of Butterflies.
There is no judgement about how long you have kept their urn,what led you to this decision. When you are ready, there is simply a beautiful place waiting for them.
A Place Created for Remembrance
Each of our three perpetual care cemetery locations will have a dedicated Gardens of Remembrance where loved ones entrusted to Southern during this event will be laid to rest.
Their resting place will be marked with a lasting glazed ceramic butterfly, creating a lasting tribute within the garden and a special place where family and friends can return to remember.
