Jasmine Marie Patterson

Jasmine Marie Patterson was born on February 25, 1992, in Clarksville, Tennessee, to David Antwone Patterson and Marla Jean Patterson. After a courageous three-year battle with cancer, Jasmine passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2026.

Jasmine was preceded in death by her grandfather, Michael Patterson Sr.; uncle, Michael Patterson Jr.; great-uncles, Danny P. Ross and Ossie Ross; and great-uncle, Fred Sewell.

While Jasmine will be deeply missed, those left to cherish her memory and hold her forever close in their hearts include her son, Tyler Jayce “Tjay” Patterson; daughter, Skyler Symone “Boobie” Wilson; father, David Antwone Patterson; mother, Marla Jean Patterson; brothers, Michael Patterson and Darian Brown; sister, Mia Simone Patterson; niece, Marley Marie “P-Puff” McSwain; maternal grandparents, Charles and Beverly Berry; aunts, Victoria Berry and Deanna Allen; uncle, John Patterson; stepmother, Renikki Yolanda Patterson; and a host of devoted cousins, extended family members, and cherished friends.

At the age of two, Jasmine and her family moved to Georgia, where she would grow, learn, build a career, and create a beautiful life surrounded by those she loved. She completed her high school education at Mount Zion High School in Jonesboro, Georgia. After graduation, Jasmine was awarded the HOPE Scholarship and attended Gordon College in Barnesville, Georgia. She later continued her education at Southern Crescent Technical College in Griffin, Georgia.

Jasmine chose a career in education, where her talents, creativity, and dedication could positively impact others. For five years, she served as an Administrative Data Clerk at A. Philip Randolph Elementary School with Fulton County Schools. Jasmine was known for her organization, attention to detail, and structured presentations. She also found opportunities to express her creativity through the arts program at her school, allowing another side of her many gifts to shine.

Beyond her education and career, Jasmine’s greatest legacy can be found in the lives of the people she loved. She was a loving and devoted mother, a supportive and encouraging sister, a trusted cousin, a joyful granddaughter, a loyal and connected friend, and a beloved daughter.

In her free time, Jasmine found joy in the simple moments spent with the people she loved most. She enjoyed vintage shopping in Little 5 Points with her son, Tjay; watching animated movies with her daughter, Skyler; and creating personalized “handshakes” with her niece, Marley. She could enjoy a Coca-Cola with just about anyone, loved her fast food, and never turned down the opportunity for a good nap.

Jasmine’s beautiful smile radiated wherever she went. Her warm and welcoming spirit naturally drew people to her, allowing her to connect effortlessly with both the young and the young at heart. Whether through her smile, her creativity, her sense of humor, or simply sharing a moment

together, Jasmine had a special way of making people feel comfortable, welcomed, and connected.

Jasmine loved deeply and was deeply loved in return. Her strength was evident throughout her life, but especially during the three years she courageously faced cancer. Through the difficult days, she remained surrounded by the love of her family and those who cared for her most.

Although her physical presence will be greatly missed, the love, memories, laughter, and moments Jasmine shared with her family and friends will remain forever. Her life touched countless hearts, and the impact she made will continue through her children, her family, her friends, and everyone blessed to have known and loved her.
