Connie Ruth Elder

Connie Ruth Elder, born May 18, 1946, in Atlanta, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 27, 2026, at the age of 80.

Connie was the daughter of the late Betty Ruth and James E. Burgess. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who cherished her family.

Connie is survived by her son, Kenneth Meadows, and his wife, Elizabeth Day Meadows; her grandson, Noah Meadows; her daughter, Adriane Grey, and her husband, Chris Grey; and her sisters, Bobbie Burgess and Cindy Woods, as well as a number of nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Connie’s life will be remembered through her family, the memories she leaves behind, and the many small moments that made her presence special to those who knew and loved her. Her family takes comfort in knowing that the love shared with Connie does not end with her passing, it remains in the stories and moments they will carry with them for years to come.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
