James (Jim) Morris Ray, 70, of Powder Springs, Georgia passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019. He was born September 09, 1948 to the late John Raymond and Dorothy Ray. He was a graduate of Rex Mundi High School in Evansville, Indiana and went on to serve in the United States Air Force during the Vietnam conflict; stationed in Saigon at the Tan Son Nhut Air Base. He was retired from Aramark/FW Means and Walmart. Jim was an avid gardener and enjoyed breeding finches and conjures as well as many tropical fish.
He is survived by his wife, Toni Briggs Ray of Powder Springs, GA; his daughter Bonnie (Bill) Waelde and son John P. Ray, both of Evansville, Indiana; his grandchildren, William (Kristie) Waelde, Jacob Waelde, Katie Ray, Samantha Ray, and Tristen Ray; a sister Sue Harl of Cave in Rock, Illinois and brother Glenn Ray of Evansville Indiana.
A Memorial will be at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park in the Columbarium from 2:00pm to 4:00pm (E.S.T) with Inurnment immediately following.









St Louis Tip Toppers Jim met Toni Briggs Ray at the 1986 TCI Convention held in St. Louis that year. Rest in peace Jim. We’re thinking of you Toni.
