Mr. Arthur A. Davis, age 95, of Fairburn, Georgia, and formerly of Maumee, Ohio, and Logan, Utah, passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2006. He was born on June 20, 1911 in Toledo, Ohio to Clarence and Anna Davis. He married Elva C. Felt on November 12, 1945, who precedes Mr. Davis in death. Mr. Davis was a United States Postal carrier for 32 years at the Maumee Post Office. He served as the President of Local Union, Chief Steward for several years, retiring in 1973. He also was a United States Army WWII Veteran with the rank of Master Sergeant. Mr. Davis was also past commander of American Legion Post 320, a member of Voiture 141 40-8, Past Scoutmaster of St. Joseph's Boy Scout Troop 104, and a Recipient of Boys Scouts of America Silver Beaver Award. Many will cherish Mr. Davis' memory including son, Norman R. (Judith) Davis of Minnesota, and Stephen J. Davis, of Fairburn, Georgia, and grand-daughter, Rachel A. (Ryan) Davis-Taber, of Illinois. The family will receive friends at Maison-Dardenne Funeral Home, Maumee, Ohio on Saturday, October 21, 2006 from 8:00 am till 10:00 am and service honoring Mr. Davis will be held at 10:30 am at St. Joseph's Church with interment following in the church cemetery. Memorials may be made to Boy Scouts of America or to the charity of the donor's choice.
