Venson Dennis Patterson, 53, of Decatur, Georgia passed away on Wednesday, January 2, 2008. He is preceded in death by his father, Arthur William Patterson; one sister, Caroline Patterson and grandmother, Verna Lee Hayes. Those left behind to cherish his memory include his loving mother, Eartha Mae Patterson; four sons: Venson D. Patterson Jr., Derrick Hopson, Sy Patterson, and Jonathan Corey Haskins; one daughter: Nicole Brittany Haskins; five brothers: Nathaniel Patterson, Anthony Patterson, Arthur Patterson, Victor Jackson, and Jerry Patterson; three sisters: Verna Evans, Dominique Morgan, and Tanya Johnson; godmother, Louise Hector and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services honoring Mr. Patterson will be held on Friday, January 11, 2008 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of the funeral home with Reverend Willie R. Starks, Sr officiating.
