Mr. Luther Benjamin "Ben" Pruitt, age 73, of Centre, passed away Thursday, March 3rd in Austell, GA. The Family will receive friends Friday from 6 to 8 pm at the funeral home. (Perry Funeral Home in Centre, AL) Funeral services will be 2pm EST at Holly Hill Funeral Home in FAirburn, GA. Burial will follow in the adjoining cemetery. Survivors include: Daughters: Dawn (Jim) Shannon of Hollywood, FL and Melinda (Abbos) Rezaei of Carrollton, GA; and Son: David Moore of Centre, AL; Brother: Joseph Fain (Edna) Pruitt of Griffin, GA; Sister: Betty (Bill) Spencer of Douglasville, GA; and Grandchildren: Kimberly Pruitt and Benjamin Rezaei. Pallbearers: Leon Bruce, Scott Spencer, Dean Pruitt, Bobby Pruitt, Gene Poole, and David Moore. Mr. Pruitt was the son of the Late Joseph Luther and Ada Elizabeth Carter Pruitt. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Bruce Pruitt, and a sister, Kattie Johnson. He was a member of Friendship Baptist Church. Benjamin and I were the best of friends in Cherokee County High School where we graduated in 1955. I became reacquainted with Ben and met his family for the first time when my wife and I moved back to Alabama in 1993. He was a true friend and gentleman. I will greatly miss him.
So sorry for the loss of your loved one my prayers and thoughts are with you in your time of sadness.
