Jerald William Rooks

Jerald William Rooks, age 65, of 208 Morris Street Palmetto, Georgia passed away Thursday at his home. Mr. Rooks was born in Coweta County. He was the son of the late Jack Rooks and his mother Clairsy Rooks. Mr. Rooks was a veteran of the United States Army. He served in Vietnam where he was wounded in action when he received enemy fire. He also was held as a prisoner of war and received the Purple Heart. Mr. Rooks is survived by his wife, Patricia Rooks, his son, Christopher Rooks, his mother, Clairsy Rooks, and sister, Martha Jo Phillips all of Palmetto, Georgia. Funeral services will be held Monday at 3 o'clock in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Dan Akins officiating. Visitation will be held for friends and family on Sunday from 5 P.M. to 8 P.M. at Holly Hill Funeral Home. Internment will be held at Lakeside Memorial Gardens.
