Harvey Barto Nichols

Mr. Harvey Barto Nichols, age 72, of Whitesburg, GA, passed away on Wednesday, April 5, 2012 at his residence. He was the son of the late William Merrell Nichols and the late Hattie Jane (Reeves) Nichols. He was preceded in death by son, Eddie Nichols. He was a member of the masonic Lodge 180 F & AM of Union City, GA. He is survived by wife, Lois Nichols of Whitesburg, GA; daughters, Vicki Weaver of Newnan, GA, and Kimberly Gonter of Newnan, GA; sons, Harvey Michael Nichols of Fayetteville, GA, and David Nichols of Hiram, GA; sisters, Hazel Potts of Chattahoochee Hills, GA, and Thelma Johnson of Newnan, GA; 13 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, April 7, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home with Rev. Jerry Hollis officiating. Friends may visit the family on Friday, April 6, 2012 from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the American Cancer Society, 301 Kelly Drive Suite 3, Peachtree City, GA 30269. Uncle Harvey will be truely missed and I am totally shocked at how much he looked like my grandpa.   3. I haven’t seen Harvey for years. He used to at times ride with me on patrol when I was a Sergeant in Union City. A truly great person with a positive attitude. I am so sorry. My condolences to family and friends.
