Cora Lee "Granny" Barker

Cora Lee "Granny" Barker, age 93, of Fairburn passed away Friday, October 26, 2012, at Doctor's Hospice of Georgia in Fayetteville, GA. Mrs. Barker was born in Coweta County to the late William Samuel Carey and the late Eva Steerman Carey. Mrs. "Granny" Barker was preceded in death by her husband, James P. Barker. She was also a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. Mrs. Barker served as a loving homemaker. Mrs. Cora Lee Barker is survived by her loving family including daughters; Eva Hatcher of Fairburn; Frances Richards of College Park; Judy Marshall of College Park; and Mary Ann Barker of Fairburn. Survivors also include 14 grandchildren, several great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services for Mrs. Cora Lee "Granny" Barker will be held Monday, October 29th, 2012 in the Chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home at 2:00 P.M. with Rev. Donald Colburn officiating. Interment will follow in Bethlehem Baptist Church Cemetery. Friends may visit the family of Mrs. Barker from 2:00-4:00 P.M. on Sunday, October 28th, 2012.
