Doris Speights, 84, passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013. She was born May 16, 1928 in Turner County, GA. She was a member of the Faith Sunday School class at Parkway Baptist Church and the Trace Pointe Adult Day Care, both in Clinton, She was retired from Bell South after 35 years of service and was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Ms. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband, James Robert Johnson. Ms. Johnson is survived by two daughters, Nancy Johnson Taylor and husband Joe, and Darleen Johnson Watson and husband Tom. She has ten grandchildren, three of which are married, Darleen Taylor Dozier and husband Eric, David Taylor and wife Trish, and Danny Taylor and wife Beth. She is also survived by one sister, Margaret Speights Trimm of Northport, AL and numerous nieces and nephews. She is loved by all and will be greatly missed. Visitation for Doris Speights Johnson will be Saturday, February 16, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at Lakewood Funeral Home on Clinton Blvd in Jackson, MS. An additional visitation will be held Sunday February 17, 2013 from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m at Holly Hill Funeral Home in Fairburn, GA. Funeral services will be conducted at 1 p.m., Sunday February 17, 2013 in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Holly Hill Memorial Park.
