Marion Edward Baswell, age 86, of Centre, Alabama, passed away on Monday, February 18, 2019. He was born in Sylacauga, AL, on May 24, 1932, to Claude Eugene Baswell and Mildred (Carroll) Baswell He was preceded in death by step-son, Jimmy Reid, and brothers, Eugene, Charles and Mercer Baswell. He is survived by: his wife, Georgia Baswell of Centre, AL; step-daughters, Marie Howard and her husband, Donald, of Milledgeville, Linda Warren and her husband, Jim, of Jefferson, Beth Thompson and her husband, Arthur of Griffin, Vicky Reid of Statham and Valerie Reid of Statham; step-son, Terry Reid of Jefferson; brother, Lanier Baswell and his wife, Charlene of Palmetto; and numerous grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, February 22, 2019, in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home. Pastor Micca Gillespie to officiate. Entombment will follow at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Thursday, February 21 from 5:00-8:00 p.m.
