James Robert Eskew, age 87, of Fairburn, passed away on Wednesday, August 14, 2019. He was born in Fairburn on August 25, 1931, to Fred Eskew and AllieCochran Eskew. He attended Bethlehem Baptist Church and retired from Mead Paper. He was preceded in death by: his wife, Helen (Railey) Jernigan Eskew; sisters, Ozelle Meeks and Myra Hand; and brothers, Billly and Leon Eskew. He is survived by: brother, Johnny Eskew (Alice) of Fairburn; nieces, Anne McKinney of Greer, SC, Kelly Rock of Fairburn and Allison Hogue of Dahlonega; nephews, Ronnie Meeks of Myrtle Beach, SC, and Matthew Eskew of Newnan; step-daughters, Brenna Lype (Bob) of Ooltewah, TN, Bonnie Bregante (Mark) of Douglasville and Bridget Morrow (Deke) of Cedar Rapids, IA; step-sons, Britton Jernigan of Palmetto and Burton Jernigan of Atlanta; and five step-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 17, 2019, at Holly Hill Memorial Park. Pastor Lester Cooper will officiate

  2. Throughout the years Robert has been and active part of Bethlehem Baptist Church. His leader ship was very sincere. Many of us had Robert as the Bethlehem/ Cedar Grove ladies softball team coach and he was good one. He is very much loved and appreciated By all of us.

  3. Robert was my sunday school teacher in th late 50’s and early 60’s.  I’m not real sure of the years.  I remember him as a man who lived his faith. He certainly had an impact on my life.
