Carlman Jovan Frye (Woo) was born in Meadville, Mississippi(raised in East Chicago, Ind.) on November 22, 1960 to Ms Joan Hickingbotton Frye and Mr Willie L. Jones of Meadville. On the morning of August 20th, 2019, Carlman Jovan (Woo) Frye of Union Citywas called home to rest in the arms of his savior at the age of 58. Woo was preceded in death by his mother, Joan Hickingbottom Frye and his father Willie L. Jones. He is survived by his loving wife, Della Mae Frye of Union City; six children, Isaiah Frye, Eric Frye, Curtis Johnson, Tekisha Johnson, Michael Johnson, and William (Durrell) Jones; eight brothers andsisters, Randy Frye of Atlanta, Leonard (Tonya) Taylor of Newnan, Kimbert (Linda) Frye, of Marietta, David (Georgia) Jones of Meadville, MS, J.W. (Gladys) Kimmons, of Denver, CO,Patricia Debereaus, of Denver, CO, Willie (Adrain) Cameron ofMemphis, TN, and Sandra (Tullie) Ford, of Meadville, MS; tengrandchildren and one great grandchild; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends, including his special cousin Regina Echoles ofCollege Park,a special niece Ashlee Taylor of Union City, and a very special friend James (Tank) Grier of Riverdale. Carlman Jovan Frye was known to everyone as the infamous "Chicken Man Woo, Backyard Bar B Que", as he had a love for cooking and grilling. Anyone who knew Woo knew he had a heart of gold and would not hesitate to reach out a helping hand to any and everyone who needed him. He was known for his crazy jokes, funny stories, and all around good vibes. You knew you were in for a good time if he was around. Woo was there for anyone whether it be fixing your car,moving your furniture, or hosting your cookout or family reunion. You were a good friend and family member that always understand. Even thou you just had to pick before you comfort someone when they been through something. You was always fun.
