Maybell Chastain, 88, of Riverdale, passed away on Tuesday, October 29, 2019. She was born on May 10, 1931toErnest Whelcheland Bertha (Bruce) Whelchel. For many years, she owned and operated Park - Shop in both Chamblee and Union City. , GA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer Chastain, her parents, and siblings,Emmett Whelchel, Evelyn Kitchens and Francis Foote. She leaves to cherish herloving memory, her loving children, James (Beverly) Arrendale of Roanoke, AL, Bobbie Arrendale of Atlanta, Jimmy Chastin of Griffin, Bertha Clark of Panama City, FL, Ann (Roy) Jarrell of Griffin, Sarah (Chuck) Delaney of Griffin and Wanda (Rick) Hough of Suwanee; siblings, Helen Beck andShirley Sisk, both of Griffin,and Marie Griffin of Panama City, FL;18 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 24 great-great grandchildrenand a host of other family members and friends. A funeral servicewill be held in the chapel of Holly Hill Funeral Home on Friday, November 1, 2019, at 2:00 PM. She will be laid to rest at the Church of Life Cemetery, 8145 Gullatt Road, Palmetto, GA 30268.
