McDonough Southern Funerals & Cremations
Amy Louise Meier left this earth for heaven on June 27, 2023. She is survived by her mother and brother, Retha and Paul Meier, uncles John and Marty Ross, cousins Beverley Moniz and Jean Eubanks and too many other family members to name individually.
Amy had a generous heart, a huge love of animals, an inquiring mind, and shared her knowledge and good fortune with those around her - human and animal. She was devoted to her family. She worked at the corporate office of Food Depot for 10 years and felt she found family and career in the same place.
She will be sorely missed, but we celebrate that she is with our Lord and made new again.

Some of my favorite memories of our visits to family in Georgia involve Amy. Being that we were only 7 days apart, we loved the same adventures: walks, adventures through the woods, horses and animals of all kinds. She had the most beautiful curly hair and the warmest smile. Finding comfort knowing she is surrounded with love after being reunited with her Heavenly Father and her daddy, Uncle Paul, who loved his children deeply. My deepest condolences and prayers for comfort to those family members left behind.
Amy was deeply loved on her job and fondly known as a turtle whisperer for rescue a turtle in the parking lot of her job!
Her kindness and her since of right and wrong will be missed dearly. Until we meet again in heaven!
You will be missed my friend. Love you
Amy was a great boss and a good friend. no matter what she would always take the time to listen. A wonderful person inside and out. she could fix almost everything and she love talking about her fur babies.
I will never forget her
Amy Louise Meier was truly an Angel on earth. She loved animals almost as much as she loved humans. Amy was such a kind and generous person in so many ways. She helped people in need all the time, from helping them with groceries, to sending them food for their pets, never knowing the impact that she had on those lives. Her presence on this earth will very much be missed, however, her legacy of “service to others” will always be remembered. My deepest sympathy to Retha and Paul. Know that we care and our thoughts and prayers are with you both during this difficult time.
Amy was such a sweet friend to me during a challenging season of my life, as I adjusted to being a new mom. Amy was always so kind, joyful, had the best laugh, was creative, and really did have such a loving heart.
Amy was a beautiful soul. She dedicated her life to her family and I am honored to be a part of it. Her wisdom, wit, and wonderfulness are sorely missed.
