Bess Sprinkle passed peacefully on August 7, at the age of 101, having survived her husband, Walter, by eight months.
Bessie was a devoted mother and spouse, who spent many years assisting others after her children were grown.
She is survived by her three children: Stephen (Marcella), Lana (Paul) and Ron (Ashley). She is also survived by four grandchildren: Kristen (Eric), Matthew (Tatum), Sam (Rebekah) and Rachel, and one great-grand child (Zoey).
Visitation, a service, and burial will occur on Saturday, September 7, at the Columbarium at Southern Cremations and Funerals, 1861 Dallas Highway SW, Marietta, GA 30064 (770-919-7100). Visitation will start at 1:00 p.m., then a Catholic Funeral Service at 2:00 p.m., followed by her burial, which is on property. Please join our family at Lana and Paul’s home from 4 to 6 p.m. for refreshments afterwards.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Operation Smile (operationsmile.org) which was one of Bess’ favorite charities. It provides free cleft pallet surgery to children all over the world.

My deepest condolences to Ms Bess’s children and grandchildren.
I am one of the Caregivers of Walter and Bess. I cherish the time that I spend taking care of this couple. I learned a few things of life from them.

I and my boys had many lovely Thanksgiving celebrations with the Kendig family. Bessie was always enjoying the conversations, meal preparation and feast surrounding this special day. She typical won the games we played following meal which she delighted in. Bess will be missed but she is living with our Lord in the perfect place. Blessings, comfort and prayers to the family, your memories will be cherished for years to come. D’Lynn
