Charles Eddie Davis Sr.

Mr. Charles Eddie Davis Sr. passed away on September 3,2024 at the age of 81. Charles was born on June 29, 1943, in Anniston, Alabama to C.W. and Irene Davis. He met the love if his life at the young age of 24 and married Marilyn, on October 10, 1968. After moving to Georgia, Charles began working as a Carpenter. Charles took great pride in a good day’s work. He was a beloved and devoted father, husband, and friend, who will be deeply missed by all who knew him. Charles was passionate about renovating homes, attending church and loved to go fishing in his spare time. He was a dedicated individual who loved his family and friends. His family will remember him as a hardworking, dedicated, loving father and husband. He was an active and devout member of Oak Park Church in Jonesboro, Georgia. Charles is survived by his wife, Marilyn Davis; children, Charles E. Davis Jr. Deborah Novela, Vanessa Kurtz, David Keener, and Tommy Davis; siblings, Martha Garcia, Marvin Davis, Richard Davis, Vivian Davis, Mike Davis and Ken Davis; many grandchildren and great grandchildren. His parents C.W. and Irene Davis precede him in death. The funeral is scheduled for 11am Tuesday, September 10, 2024, at Oak Park Church with a reception to follow at East lawn memorial park. Visiting hours will be at Southern Cremation and Funeral Services on Monday, September 9th from 5:30-7:30pm. Pastor David Scott will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Charles’ life.
