Kathy Garmon passed away peacefully at 12:26 am on November 14, 2025 at the age of 64. Born on January 13, 1961, in Atlanta, GA., Kathy filled her life—and the lives of everyone around her—with warmth, generosity, and an unwavering devotion to the people she loved.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Joyce Densmore (Steve) and Jesse Allen, and her two brothers John and Darren Densmore.
Kathy was a devoted mother to her daughters, Jennifer Edmonds (Daniel) and Kelly Beach (Paul), and a loving “Grammy” to her grandchildren: Charlotte, Emery, Delaney, Ridge, Alice, and Clayton. Nothing brought her more joy than cheering on her grandbabies, celebrating their milestones, and showering them with the kind of love only a grandmother like her could give.
She is also survived by her sister, Stacey Dollar, along with several cherished nieces and nephews who loved her deeply.
Kathy spent many dedicated years as a hardworking and loyal employee of Bank of America, where she was known for her strong work ethic and reliability.
As a dance mom, Kathy was her daughters’ biggest cheerleader. She never missed an event, recital, or moment in her girls’ lives. She had a creative spirit and loved to scrapbook. Also, Kathy loved listening to her favorite ’90s country songs, especially “Life’s a Dance,” a reminder of the grace and courage with which she approached life’s ups and downs. Kathy was known for loving “the thrill of the chase,” especially when it came to spotting new trends and treasures at TJ Maxx.
Kathy leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and unwavering devotion. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by the family and friends who were blessed to know her.
Life’s a dance—and Kathy lived hers with heart.
